Creative Inspiration Grant currently under review
Following three years of grant rounds and the distribution of $90,000 in financial support across 90 successful applications, we are taking time to review the future of the Creative Inspiration Grant to ensure that it will continue to provide suitable financial support to artists, creatives, producers, performers, creative industries, makers and artisans who are living, working or studying in the City of Ballarat.
The intent of the Creative Inspiration Grant is a deliberate seed fund, designed to ‘nurture the spark of creativity’ which is one of the central themes of the Creative City Strategy. The City of Ballarat knows that it is the small micro-enterprise who is often the most tenacious and determined to establish itself. The artist or maker who is looking for a toehold to get started, or who needs an injection of funding to deal with an obstacle, is a powerhouse of energy. We want to support that energy, and give it strength to help survive.
