LIVE MUSIC CONFERENCE FOR MUSIC MAKERS

Held over two days (10-11 August) in the Civic Hall, the Networking and Showcase event is the ultimate information source for regional musicians and music makers. This event is a chance for the regional music industry to meet, network and learn from one another – permitting valuable time for Ballarat music sector to introduce their work to the wider world.

Full days of talks, discussions and workshops will be bookended with showcase performances from Ballarat musicians and industry change-makers

The event will include a chance to meet the decision-makers in the music business, including representatives from APRA AMCOS, Music Victoria, Unified Artist Management and more. Musicians will get a chance to pitch their projects and understand what it takes to make it in the music world.

9.30am - Drumming with Ray Pereira - One of Australia’s leading percussionists and educators. In 2001 Ray received an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his contribution to music in Australia.
10.45am - ‘What’s going on in the Rat?’ Roundtable - hyper-local issues discussion about performing, recording and rehearsing in the Rat. Local venues, bookers and managers and you.
